Welcome
My name is Allie Payne, and welcome to my website! I am a senior at San Diego State University, where I major in journalism. I am driven by my passion for music which influences everything I do. I shoot concert photography in my free time and currently work part time for Local Media San Diego where I am a Digital Content Producer. My previous experience in media spans radio, video editing, photography, news reporting and social media management/content creation. I am an avid reader, writer and fan of pop-punk and hardcore as you can see from most of my bylines relating to music in some form. I am highly anticipating my May graduation date, and entering the modern day media landscape in any facet.
JMS 430, or Digital Journalism is an exciting class where I hope to continue to create and explore digital media and how that will benefit me in my chosen career path! I cannot wait to dive further into coding, discuss thoughts on AI in the workforce, and see my finished portfolio at the end of the semester. I am also looking forward to having time to purse a single story, and making it the best it can be based on a strong voice backed up by thorough and extensive research.
